Tigelada from Proença-a-Nova includes the habits and customs of a people and the associated economic activities. It was not a rich or poor sweet, for when one did not have one of the ingredients one would ask the neighbor; For example, eggs were exchanged for another product or alternative ingredients such as squash or water instead of milk were used.
