Cherry - António Laia

The microclimate existing in the Union of Parishes of Sobreira Formosa and Alvito da Beira and in the parish of Montes da Senhora, in the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, allows the production of cherries. There are several hectares of cherry trees that embellish the white fields at the time of flowering and red at harvest time. One of the characteristics of the cherries of the county is that they are the first to mature in this region of the country.

The producer António Laia Ribeiro has cherries from different varieties grown in Montes da Senhora.
